The difference: renowned faculty, original curriculum, a business school approach, and a support network designed to help entrepreneurs succeed
The Model.
The PROSPECTUS difference lies in its holistic approach to educating existing and aspiring entrepreneurs. Countless programs offer classes and workshops, however, no program within the Washington Metropolitan area has curriculum, modeled after business school programs that offers a required nine-course lecture series using the model that PROSPECTUS provides.
The Network.
For over eight years NMC Consulting Group has established a strong network of business owners, government officials, financial institutions, and experts in the field of marketing, finance, and business development. Program participants will have the opportunity to take advantage of these relationships and connect with NMC Consulting Group affiliates. Furthermore, starting a business venture is a personal, professional and financial commitment. Through PROSPECTUS , entrepreneurs will have a network of fellow peers to call on for assistance, advice and counsel – which any entrepreneur knows is much needed along the way.
The Classroom.
PROSPECTUS classes will be held in a state-of-the-art, professional facility in downtown Washington DC. NMC Consulting Group takes all of their clients and participating entrepreneurs seriously, thus it is important we provide a facility that reflects both our level of professionalism and the quality of our programming. To complement the pristine classroom setting, PROSPECTUS classes are led by a variety of distinguished, professors and lecturers with extensive experience in the fields of marketing, business development, law, finance, accounting and information technology.
The Materials.
The Articles, written by NMC Consulting Group, with input from experienced and talented professionals and faculty, are distributed to entrepreneurs at the beginning of each PROSPECTUS lecture and offers exclusive information and advice on topics ranging from securing funding to establishing an effective marketing campaign. The program also draws from and uses Harvard Business School case-studies, effective presentations and other materials to make your learning experience more profound.
The Standard.
The participation criterion for the PROSPECTUS program is very serious because we want our participants to be. NMC Consulting Group is only interested in attracting dedicated entrepreneurs and/or persons interested in starting their own business within at least six months of their participation in the program. All applicants must submit a business overview and show previous dedication to achieving their goal in producing a prosperous business enterprise. While other programs open their doors to any and everyone interested in starting a business, the PROSPECTUS model is designed to 1) decrease program drop-out, 2) increase the number of actual businesses developed and 3) increase funding opportunities and access to capital.
The Application.
The application packet for the PROSPECTUS program was created to help NMC Consulting Group staff and cohorts identify key areas of interest by potential program participants, so that the structure of classroom topics reflects these demands. This guarantees program participants transition out of the program with an in-depth understanding of information they can directly apply to their current business situation.
The Graduation.
PROSPECTUS graduation is not only a networking opportunity, is also designed to be a graduates first opportunity pitch their business concepts before an audience of judges that represent the financing community. At this ceremony, they will have the opportunity to peak the interest of potential investors and win a $1,500 cash prize.
